How is Macbeth and Lady Macbeth shown in act 1?
How Macbeth is introduced act 1 scene 2
Macbeth is a brave soldier who has fought against the Norwegians, and has killed many people on the battlefield. He has not appeared as yet, but already he has been talked about, this shows that he may be feared by the people and is acknowledged for what he has done, this may be why they refer to him as a “brave soldier”.
How he reacts to the witches’ news
At first he doesn’t know who they are, then the witches tell him that he is the thane of Cawdor and they hail him as he is seen as very powerful they are preparing a spell to greet Macbeth with.
